As part of the regular maintenance of the irrigation networks, the maintenance workshops and crews in sector three – part (C) – branch eight started rehabilitating the main canal and its associated lines, after stopping irrigation to branch eight located in Al-Buleil village.

At Sufyan Canal, the scraping work at the first site was completed to make it ready for casting, and 60 m³ of soil was transported to the second site and prepared for casting with 33 m³ of concrete. Additionally, leveling work was carried out for the right shoulder of the South Canal along a length of 3 km using a grader. In the second sector (Jerwa after pumping), technical teams carried out excavation and removal of cracked concrete and dredged 70 m³ of water-saturated soil, in addition to backfilling with 60 m³ of soil, including spreading and compaction in layers according to the approved technical specifications.

The maintenance workshop at the Fifth Sector Station, affiliated with the Directorate of Water Resources in Deir ez-Zor, completed comprehensive maintenance work on the first lift station of the Fifth Sector project. The work included carrying out a set of precise technical procedures, most notably the installation of the lower bearing of the screw pumps and the installation of the coupling between the motor and the gearbox, tasks that require specialized technical skills and high practical experience due to their precision and importance in ensuring the efficient operation of the station.
