With exceptional efforts.. the staff of the Euphrates to Khabour Water Project continue maintaining the box canal to ensure the continuous flow of water and reduce water waste
Maintenance workshops in the Euphrates to Khabour water transfer project, under the Deir Ezzor Water Resources Directorate, continue their field work to repair the box canal and fix its joints, as part of ongoing efforts to keep water facilities safe, ensure they’re operational, and reduce water wastage.
These tasks require a high level of technical precision and intensive fieldwork, as the project workers continue carrying out maintenance and treatment operations under the direct supervision and follow-up of engineers and technicians, to tackle technical challenges and restore the canal to its required readiness.
These works are highly important due to the vital role the project plays in transporting raw water to drinking water stations serving more than six villages, as well as providing irrigation water for the benefiting agricultural lands, ensuring continuity of water supply to residents and farmers.
These field efforts reflect the project team’s dedication to maintaining water facilities and preserving their operational efficiency, continuing work despite difficulties, to ensure the sustainability of this crucial water artery and its service to communities and farmlands.
Efforts made with sincerity... and hands working on the ground to preserve this lifeline and water supply.
