The workshops of the Directorate of Water Resources in Tartus have carried out repair works for several faults in the irrigation network in the town of Al-Hamidiyah and the village of Arab Al-Shate, helping to reduce water waste and ensure its continued supply to about 500 hectares of agricultural land.
The works included repairing a fault in a 700 mm Asbestos type line on the MPL2_1 line, in addition to maintaining a number of faults in the metal pipes of the Western Canal division.
These works come as part of the regular maintenance plan implemented by the directorate for government irrigation networks, aiming to increase their efficiency and ensure the agricultural lands regularly and reliably receive irrigation water.
