Water resources in Kenitra are carrying out preventive measures to protect agricultural lands in the village of Kom Al-Basha
As part of preparations for the rainy season and to reduce the risks of floods, the workshop at the Directorate of Water Resources in Quneitra carried out dredging and reinforcement work on the rainwater channel in the village of Koum Al-Basha, aiming to improve its capacity to drain water and limit its flow towards agricultural lands that are prone to flooding.
These efforts help improve the flow of rainwater within the channel and reduce the risks of water accumulation and flash floods, which helps protect farmland, farmers' property, and minimize potential damage during the winter. These interventions target protecting an agricultural area of more than 50 dunams.
These works are part of the efforts of the Directorate of Water Resources in Quneitra to enhance preventive measures, raise readiness levels to face flood risks, and protect agricultural lands while reducing losses caused by heavy rainfall.
