Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa Governorate
Raqqa Governorate is located in northern Syria on the banks of the Euphrates River and is considered one of the important agricultural governorates. It is characterized by vast plains and large irrigation projects connected to the Euphrates Dam and Lake Assad.
It is famous for cultivating cotton, wheat, barley, and vegetables, and is one of the main areas for agricultural production. The city of Raqqa and many archaeological sites are located there, and the Euphrates Dam constitutes an important source of electricity, water, and irrigation.
