Aleppo Governorate is located in the north of the Syrian Arab Republic, bordered by Turkey to the north, Raqqa Governorate to the east, Idlib Governorate to the west, and Hama Governorate to the south. It is considered one of the largest Syrian governorates in terms of area, and its water resources depend on the Euphrates River and its tributaries, in addition to groundwater and wells. Agriculture and industry are among the most important sectors that rely on the management of water resources there.
