The Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa continues carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation work at various sites, aiming to improve the efficiency of irrigation networks and ensure water keeps reaching the agricultural lands.
The executed works included:
Al-Bleikh Canal (Dam site): Pouring 8 m³ of concrete grade 300 to complete rehabilitation works.
AS3 Canal, Al-Qahtaniya Farm, and MP1 Canal: Lifting and replacing slabs and flumes, along with changing gaskets in several locations, and completing maintenance work on MP1 Canal.
Gates Workshop: Carrying out maintenance work and installing a speed box, chrome tilt, and steering manual, with adjustments to protect the gate and extend its operational life.
GRP Workshop: Repairing two breaks on the Wadi irrigation line (1/4) with 350 mm diameter, installing a coupler, and restoring the line to service.
Desilting Works: Desilting the Ali Bayram Drain in Al-Karama for a length of 250 m, desilting East Hazima Canal for 1000 m, and desilting Ya`rab Station Canal for 900 m.
The Raqqa Directorate of Water Resources confirms that it continues its efforts in carrying out regular maintenance and rehabilitation works, which contributes to improving the efficiency of the irrigation system, ensuring the sustainability of water facilities, and serving the agricultural sector.
