The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia opens the Kafr Dabil Dam gate and starts the fourth irrigation cycle
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues its field work to support the agricultural sector and ensure irrigation water. This morning, the Kafr Dabil Dam gate was opened, starting the fourth irrigation cycle within its networks, responding to farmers' requests and based on the recommendations of the sub-irrigation committee in Jableh.
Work is also ongoing to dredge and maintain the main canals, including removing dirt and deposits from the main canal, dredging the Abu Baara siphon entrance, and dealing with choke points in the main canal at level +50, helping to improve water flow.
These efforts are part of ongoing field monitoring to ensure irrigation water reaches the farmland and to enhance the efficiency of the irrigation system while serving the farmers.
