The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia is following up on water measurements and monitoring water quality
The Latakia Water Resources Directorate continues its field monitoring of water resources, alongside carrying out irrigation cycles, by taking water measurements and monitoring water quality across river axes and water sources.
In this context, the Water Resources Information Center Department conducted a water measurement tour along the North Big River axis, covering points such as Al-Sanawbar, Al-Qabu, Al-Rus, Al-Zaroud, Abu Burghul, Al-Sakhaba, Al-Huweiz estuary, Basisin, as well as Qabu Sukkas well and Al-Sanawbar.
The Water Quality Monitoring Division in the Integrated Management Department also carried out a field tour along the river axis, during which samples were taken from the rivers of Al-Sanawbar, Al-Zaroud, Al-Rus, Al-Qabu, Al-Sakhaba, Abu Burghul, Basisin, and Al-Huweiz, in addition to soil samples. This is part of the ongoing efforts to monitor water quality and its sources.
These tours come as part of efforts to enhance the water database and monitor water resources and their quality, supporting their proper management and optimal use.
