The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia is following up on drainage and maintenance work on irrigation networks.
The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues its fieldwork to improve the efficiency of irrigation networks and ensure continuous water supply. They have dredged the bottleneck areas in the main canal at elevation +50 in the Ras Al-Ain area towards Al-Bunduqiya, and also dredged the second branch of the main canal at elevation +11 in the Safadiya area, covering a length of 120 meters.
The work also included digging and fixing water network faults in the Fadera area, repairing a metal fault on the main M1 canal and backfilling the work site, as well as fixing three cut saddles on the PS8 station network in Al-Omrouniya and installing the necessary metal shafts.
These activities are part of ongoing field follow-ups to address malfunctions and bottlenecks, and to enhance the readiness of irrigation networks and stations.
