The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to implement its technical field programmes aimed at enhancing the hydrological monitoring and follow-up system, as part of an ongoing action plan to develop water resource management and improve the efficiency of data collection and analysis in Latakia Governorate.

The ongoing work includes several key water points, including the Northern Al-Kabir River axis, in addition to the sites of Al-Sanawbar, Al-Qabu, Al-Rous, Al-Zaroud, and Bir Al-Sanawbar, which constitute essential components of the approved monitoring network for tracking surface and groundwater resources.

The Directorate confirmed that these efforts are part of strengthening the sustainable management of water resources and improving field assessment efficiency, contributing to supporting developmental plans in the water sector and enhancing the system’s response to hydrological changes.
