The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues to manage the irrigation system

The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia has continued its field work in managing and operating the irrigation system. Different groups and stations have been running continuously to ensure stable water supply, with pumping stations in Ain al-Bayda, Al-Hara, and Fadrah being operated, and stations being restarted immediately after any emergency stoppage. The teams also monitored the operation of the Mashqita Dam stations and carried out the necessary technical checks on the equipment to ensure their readiness and continued operation.

The directorate has also been monitoring the Mashqita Dam facilities, tracking water levels and storage volumes around the clock, while continuing to supply water to irrigation channels, pumping stations, and the drinking water network in the planned quantities to make the best use of water resources.

Moreover, irrigation water continues to reach the Safarqia Dam networks as part of the daily follow-ups carried out by the directorate teams to ensure a successful agricultural season and provide the best services to farmers despite various technical and operational challenges.
