The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues its fieldwork in monitoring water sources by carrying out regular rounds for water measurements and checking water quality, aiming to strengthen technical monitoring and provide the necessary data to assess the state of water resources.

In this context, the Water Resources Information Center Department carried out water measurement tours that included a number of springs and water points along the areas of Beit Ana, Jowfin, Al-Arz, Al-Dalia, Ain Ghnam, Wadi Al-Qala, Kankaro, Hammam Al-Qarahela, Jiboul, Douir Bisandiana, Bisandiana, Ain Al-Dalab, Fawar Jableh, and Bir Harisun.

At the same time, the Water Quality Monitoring Division in the Integrated Management Department conducted a field tour in the Jableh countryside and Al-San area, which included taking samples from drinking water intakes in Latakia and Tartus, irrigation station intakes, as well as the southern spring, Sourit spring, the Sourit river, and a number of springs, including Jiboul, Bisandiana, Douir Bisandiana, Ain Al-Dalab, Fawar, Kankaro, and Hammam Al-Qarahela.

These activities are part of ongoing technical monitoring of water sources and support monitoring, analysis, and water quality evaluation efforts, contributing to strengthening integrated water resource management and keeping track of their status in the field.
