The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues rehabilitating irrigation channels and starting the fifth irrigation cycle in the Al-Safraqiya sector.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues its field work to support the continuity of irrigation and raise the readiness of the water transmission system, as today the sugar of the main dam of Al-Safriqiyah was opened and the fifth irrigation cycle started within the networks of the Al-Safriqiyah sector.
In parallel, the isolation and rehabilitation works are continuing on the main canal level 50, including the entrances to the airport siphon in the Bakhdrmo area, the Siyanu siphon, in addition to the entrance and exit of the siphon of Branch 13 in Dweir Al-Khatib, with the aim of removing sediments and obstacles and improving the flow of water within the canal.
These works come within the framework of continuous field follow-up of water installations and irrigation canals, raising their efficiency and ensuring their readiness to ensure the access of irrigation water to the beneficiary areas and the continuation of the efficient work of the system.
