The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues operating pumping stations to provide irrigation water in the northern plain areas
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to implement the irrigation plan in the northern plain areas, through continuous monitoring of pump station operations, ensuring the delivery of irrigation water to agricultural lands and maintaining service according to the approved schedule for the agricultural season.
The pumping work included the Maghreit, Karsana, Alimieh, Nahr al-Arab, Shamiya, Salma Mill, Daruqiyat, Kanjra, and Saqiya Mousa stations, with monitoring to operate the stations according to the water needs of each area. At the Daruqiyat station, pumping was also switched to the tower using two pumps, which helps enhance the stability of water supply and improve operational efficiency.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia affirms that its technical staff will continue to monitor pump station operations and supervise the irrigation system, to ensure the sustainable delivery of water to the beneficiary areas and support agricultural production.
