The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues maintenance work and emphasizes the removal of violations.

The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues its fieldwork to boost the readiness of irrigation networks and ensure the continuous flow of water to agricultural lands.

The work included cleaning the main canal in Tal Jalal and Al-Sharashir, clearing the Al-Sakhaba siphon, as well as maintaining the Bed Rihan and Safarqiya dam networks and fixing several issues in the irrigation lines.

To reduce encroachments on the irrigation networks, the directorate staff removed an unauthorized 300 mm cast iron pipe on the sixth branch of the main canal, ensuring smooth water flow and protecting the rights of beneficiaries.

The directorate emphasizes that it will continue field monitoring and addressing violations and encroachments alongside maintenance and cleaning work, to preserve the efficiency of the irrigation system and support the agricultural season.
