The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues to carry out its field operations in the Qastal Maaf area to address the damage caused by heavy rainfall and ensure the safety of roads and infrastructure.

The work included reinforcing a double culvert in the village of Beit Sabira and opening drainage channels, in addition to road scraping and removal of soil erosion, which contributed to rehabilitating the road and improving traffic flow.

In the village of Zanzaf, mudslides were removed and three main water culverts were cleaned to ensure natural water drainage and prevent water accumulation.

The directorate emphasises its ongoing readiness for immediate intervention and emergency response, aiming to maintain the efficiency of drainage networks and reduce the risks of floods and erosion.
