The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia activates the fourth irrigation cycle from al-Safraqiya Dam towards the Bengaro sector
As part of the ongoing field monitoring for organizing and managing water resources, the Latakia Water Resources Directorate has started the procedures for launching the fourth irrigation cycle. The main shutter of the Safreqia Dam was opened towards the Binjarou sector, according to the outcomes of the sub-irrigation committee meeting in Jableh.
These measures are accompanied by direct monitoring of the water flow in the main canal at level +80, coming from the Huwaiz Dam, which helps ensure an orderly distribution process and guarantees that water reaches the benefiting sectors according to the approved irrigation schedule.
