The Water Authority seizes illegal excavators in Daraa as part of efforts to protect groundwater
The Water Police seized an illegal excavator in Daraa Governorate – from the Al-Harak area in coordination with the Izra area. It was brought to the garage for illegal excavators at the directorate, as part of official procedures in preparation for completing the necessary legal actions against it. The illegal well was also filled. Additionally, a well was filled during excavation south of the town of Malihah Al-Atash.
The directorate confirmed that proper measures will be taken against the violators, and they will be referred to the competent judiciary after the necessary reports are drawn up in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations.
Thus, the number of illegal excavators that have been seized and confiscated rises to 58 excavators, as part of ongoing efforts to regulate the excavation sector and protect water resources from depletion. The staff also worked on organizing and arranging the excavator garage to accommodate a larger number.
