The staff of the Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa continue maintenance and rehabilitation work on irrigation and drainage networks according to the fieldwork program. The work included:
Sector One: Pouring 38 m³ of concrete with a 300-grade on Saleh and MC4 canals, addressing subsidence, and dredging the US7 canal along a 1500m stretch.
Sector Two: Fixing subsidence on the Ansar intake canal, and dredging a secondary drain in Al-Jalaa along 500m.
Sector Three: Installing 6 Nirk gates on the WE ST30 canal in Shanina.
Sector Four: Addressing subsidence on the Badr Secondary and Lower Salhabia canals, dredging the Volcano canal along 800m, and carrying out maintenance on gates and sluices on the Ghanam 31MI canal.
Sector Five: Dredging the Sultan canal along 1000m, dredging the Kisra Afnan canal and the culverts under the main canal, and maintaining the seventh regulator gate.
Deir ez-Zor: Dredging and excavating two main drains in Al-Kharita Al-Tahtani and Al-Hawaij for a total length of 500m.
These works are part of the directorate's ongoing efforts to enhance the readiness of the irrigation and drainage system, improve water resource investment efficiency, and support agricultural lands.
