The staff of the Raqqa Water Resources Directorate, through the Maintenance and Stations Departments, continue carrying out maintenance, rehabilitation, and dredging of irrigation and drainage networks, aiming to improve the efficiency of water facilities and ensure their continuous operation.
The work included addressing erosion in the High Lift Canal, dredging the North Raqqa NR3 Canal for 200 meters, Canal 29HA in Halou Abdul for 2000 meters, Ali Birem Drain in Karama for 200 meters, and a secondary drain in Dalha for 400 meters. Additionally, maintenance work was carried out and flumes and weirs were replaced on Canal 26MB, and a culvert was opened to deal with water flooding that posed a risk to the main canal.
As part of pumping station maintenance, the station department workshops began dismantling the third unit at the main Hashem station, which has a flow rate of 5 m³/s, to perform necessary maintenance and boost its operational readiness.
These works are part of the directorate's ongoing efforts to maintain water facilities, enhance the efficiency of irrigation and drainage networks, and ensure the continuous provision of water services.
