The maintenance workshop at the Water Resources Directorate in Deir ez-Zor continues the work of rehabilitating the channels in the Third Sector Project – Part B
The maintenance workshop at the Deir Ezzor Water Resources Directorate continues its field work as part of the Third Sector Project – Part B. The work has included repairing several channels, raising areas where subsidence has occurred, cleaning and fixing siphons, as well as raising walls of some flumes, all aimed at improving the efficiency of the irrigation network and addressing leaks and water loss.
These efforts come as part of a commitment to preserving irrigation water, reducing wastage and leakage, and ensuring smooth flow within the channels to deliver water in the best way to the agricultural lands that depend on it, which supports agriculture and enhances the efficient use of water resources.
The directorate emphasizes that its technical workshops will continue carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation work on various irrigation facilities to ensure their readiness, sustainability, and service to agricultural lands.
