The Latakia Water Resources Directorate is carrying out maintenance and rehabilitation work within the irrigation system in the Jableh area

The work included deepening the main canal (level +11) from the main gate at Lake Al-Sinn to the international highway siphon, and removing bottlenecks in the main canal (level +80) in the Ain Shaqaq–Banjaro area, as well as deepening the sides of the main canal (level +50) in the Siano area and reinforcing the sides of the Siano siphon.

The technical workshops also carried out repairs on three faults in the asbestos line within the As-Safouriya dam network in the Bustan Qaban and Al-Bitar sectors, in addition to excavating and preparing faults on asbestos, polyethylene, and metal lines in the Qivala sector ahead of repairs.

Pumping from the Al-Huwiz pumping station to the main canal (level +80) continues, with the station's technical condition being monitored around the clock. The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia confirms that its technical and field teams continue to carry out maintenance and field monitoring work in support of the agricultural season and to serve the farmers.
