The Latakia Water Resources Directorate continues to monitor the state of irrigation and maintain the Jableh group networks
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to monitor the irrigation situation in the Jableh Group networks as part of the water distribution plan and to meet the needs of agricultural lands, along with carrying out maintenance work to keep the networks operational.
In the Howeiz area, the directorate’s teams reinforced the earthen dam on the Ayn al-Widiyah riverbed and ensured the discharge of excess water, which helped maintain the flow to the main canal serving agricultural lands in the fourth and fifth branches in the Wata Howeiz and Al-Na’imiya areas.
They also carried out dredging and removed blockages in the main canals in the Bakhadramo and Al-Qubaysiya areas, as well as dredging the sixteenth branch, which improves water flow and access to the benefiting areas.
Irrigation cycles continue in the Jableh Group networks, with high irrigation rates recorded in Kfar Dbil, Al-Eidiyah, Al-Sin, Al-Rahbiya, and Al-Aqiba, in addition to monitoring the water situation in the eleventh branch of the main canal in the Dirghamo and Wata Howeiz areas.
The directorate continues its field monitoring to ensure irrigation stability and make the best use of the available water resources.
