The Latakia Water Resources Directorate continues maintenance and repair work on the irrigation networks.

The work included clearing a blockage on the irrigation line in the Damat area and restoring water flow after fixing the fault, along with carrying out excavation and preparation work to repair three faults in asbestos pipes with diameters of 150 mm and 100 mm in the Stakhers and Qabarsia areas.

A break in a 200 mm asbestos pipe within the Maghrit pumping station network was also repaired, with a concrete pad poured to stabilise the repair site, in addition to excavation and preparation of another fault on the Salma Mill pumping station network line in the Burj Al-Qasab area in preparation for completing the repair work.

The directorate confirms that its technical teams continue to monitor and maintain the irrigation networks continuously, ensuring the system remains ready and water reaches the farmland according to the approved irrigation plan.
