The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia is stepping up its field tours to monitor the state of water sources and follow up on water quality in Kasab and Balloran
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues its field follow-up activities regarding the water situation. The Water Resources Information Center conducted a water measurement tour covering the Sersakieh River, Wadi Qandeel, Ballouran, Sheikh Hassan, Tel Shoukat, and Beit Al-Qasir, in addition to the Al-Mar 1 and Al-Mar 2 springs, Iskoran, Ain Al-Dalbeh, and Al-Nabaeen springs.
At the same time, the Water Quality Monitoring Division in the Integrated Management Department carried out a field tour along the Kessab and Ballouran axis, which included taking samples from Kessab springs, the Zaghreen River, Wadi Qandeel, Al-Rawda, as well as the Beit Al-Qasir and Ballouran dam lakes and drinking water wells in Ballouran.
These tours are part of the ongoing monitoring of water sources, tracking their quantity and quality, and enhancing the water database, which contributes to supporting planning and sustainable management of water resources in the governorate.
