The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia is keeping an eye on the irrigation water situation in the northern plain areas.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to monitor the irrigation situation in the Northern Plain project, tracking how much water reaches the agricultural areas that benefit from it. In Damsarkhou, irrigation reached 95% in several sectors, and in the areas served within Al-Qanjara, Baksa, and Jabro, it also reached 95%.
In Ras Shamra, irrigation reached 97% in one sector after the irrigation cycle was completed, while in the areas served within Burj al-Qasab and Damsarkhou, it reached 95%.
The data shows that high irrigation rates, exceeding 60%, were achieved in several areas, especially Damsarkhou, Al-Qanjara, Baksa, Jabro, Ras Shamra, and Burj al-Qasab, reflecting a good level of use of irrigation water in the serviced sectors.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues on-the-ground monitoring of the irrigation networks, working to fix technical issues and improve water distribution efficiency.
