The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia is following up on the maintenance and dredging of irrigation networks in the Jableh area.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to carry out maintenance and dredging work on the irrigation networks in the Jableh sector, aiming to address blockages, improve water flow, and enhance the efficiency of canals and water structures.
The work included dredging the main canal at elevation +26 in the Al-Eidieh area over a length of 200 meters, as well as addressing blockages on the main canal at elevation +50 in the Al-Banduqia area at the intersection with the old Jableh-Baniyas road over a length of 50 meters, in addition to dredging blockage areas at the Sakhabah siphon on the main canal at elevation +50.
The work also involved loading and transporting the dredging debris accumulated next to PS1 station, ensuring the preservation of the canal cross-sections and the removal of obstacles affecting water movement, as part of the ongoing monitoring and maintenance program for the irrigation networks in the Jableh sector.
