The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia is following up on maintenance work and field inspections in cooperation with the Civil Defense.
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues maintenance and repair work on irrigation networks and stations. Excavation and troubleshooting have been carried out on the PS-3-8 station network in Al-Qanjrah, the PS-3-6 station in Al-Banda, and the main network of the PS-3 station in Al-Shabitliya. In addition, one fault was filled, and water was drained and removed from another fault site.
The work also included de-silting the inlet of the Al-Arab River siphon, alongside a field inspection on the right side of the siphon at the surveying site, in cooperation with the Civil Defense and Disaster teams. They entered a distance of 25 meters using ropes and lighting equipment, returned safely, inspected the situation inside the siphon, and documented their observations.
These activities are part of the ongoing field monitoring of facilities and networks to ensure their safety, the continuity of the irrigation system, and improved performance efficiency.
