The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to carry out dredging and maintenance works on channels and waterways in several areas of the province's countryside, as part of a regular work plan to address blockages and enhance the readiness of water networks.

The works included dredging the main open channel in the Jandariya area near the PS7 pumping station, alongside work on the Western Zuhairiyat canal, monitoring dredging sections of the main channels in the Siano area, as well as removing weeds and cleaning the open channel at Karsana Dam.

These efforts are part of maintaining the efficiency of the water system and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural services in the beneficiary areas.
