The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues maintenance and repair work on irrigation networks across various sites, as part of the plan to keep the system ready and ensure the continuous supply of irrigation water to the areas that benefit from it.
The work included fixing issues in the Damast, Ruwaysat Al-Harsh, Al-Qabarsiya, Beit Aqel, Jorat Al-Anza, Talaru, Fadra, Jebrayon, and Manjila areas, in addition to monitoring excavation, repair, and backfilling work on several asbestos, polyethylene, AC, PVC, and metal pipelines, using specialized machinery and technical teams, and cooperating with local residents in some sites.
The directorate emphasizes that its technical teams continue to monitor and maintain the irrigation networks to ensure sustainable service and support the agricultural sector.
