The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to boost the readiness of the irrigation system through maintenance and rehabilitation of the canals
The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to carry out maintenance work and field monitoring of the main and secondary canals, aiming to improve the efficiency of the irrigation system and ensure smooth water flow to agricultural areas.
The work included clearing blockages in the 12th branch of the main canal at a +80 level in the Qubaisiyah area, as well as clearing the main canal along the Banjaro–Qubaisiyah axis, in addition to following up on clearing works in the main canal at a +50 level in the Rahbiyeh area, which helps improve irrigation water flow and increase the network’s readiness.
The Directorate confirms that it will continue carrying out routine maintenance and monitoring the state of the canals to ensure sustainable irrigation and support agricultural activity in the benefiting areas.
