The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues the work of dredging and cleaning the main canals
In the Binjaro area, dredging works were carried out on the main canal at level 80+, in addition to starting the dredging of the fifteenth branch of the main canal at level 50+.
The works also included dredging the sides of the main canal in the Siphon Ciano area and the sides of the Ciano River, in addition to grassing and cleaning works for the canal sides in the Ciano and Ghniri areas.
Within the framework of the secondary canals, dredging works were carried out on the main canal MC2, and the dredging of the open channel for the Kherbet Al-Jawziya Dam was completed, in addition to dredging works on the main canal MC1 in the Badmiyoun area at the site of the collapse caused by floods, with the relocation of materials and reopening of the watercourse.
These works are part of ongoing efforts to maintain the efficiency of the water network, improve drainage, and ensure the continuous supply of water to the various served areas.
