The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia is continuing maintenance and repair work on irrigation networks, with ongoing field monitoring to ensure the networks are ready and that water continues to reach the farmland.
The work covered areas including Al-Khuraybah, the land of Sukhairs Association, Al-Shalfatiyah, Badmiyoun, Mardeedou, Al-Samiya, Al-Raseef, Al-Hara, Binjarou, and Burj Al-Qasab. Several faults in the irrigation lines and networks were repaired and filled, damaged parts were replaced, and necessary welding and rehabilitation work was carried out.
A fault was also fixed on the main network of the PS-3-6 station in Al-Banda in the Burj Al-Qasab area, with the damaged pump replaced and the line rehabilitated to ensure continuous operation.
The directorate’s teams continue to monitor maintenance work on the ground and address faults as quickly as possible, helping keep the irrigation networks ready and ensuring water reaches the benefiting agricultural areas.
