The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues maintenance work and field monitoring of irrigation stations and networks
The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia continues its fieldwork at pumping stations and irrigation networks, aiming to maintain the system’s readiness and ensure the continuity of irrigation water.
The work included maintenance at several stations and monitoring the operation of pumping stations, addressing issues of low water inflow.
Maintenance teams also carried out digging and repairs for a number of faults on the main canal and irrigation lines in Balhoulia and Rastan, in addition to fixing faults on the PS13 pumping line in Al-Qabarsiya, repairing broken valves in Dmayoun, and monitoring irrigation on the Khariba-Dmayoun line and clearing siphons.
Technical staff continue field monitoring and resolving issues as quickly as possible, which enhances the readiness of irrigation networks and stations and supports stable water distribution and service to the agricultural sector.
