The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues maintenance and rehabilitation work to boost the readiness of the buried networks ahead of the rainy season

The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues to carry out maintenance, repair and rehabilitation work at several irrigation sites and networks as part of the early preparedness plan for the rainy season and to boost the technical readiness of the water system.

The work included fixing two faults on the PS-2 Al-Imiya station network on the PS-2-1-1P line within sector 21, as well as repairing three faults on the Jenderiya and Al-Amrouniya lines.

In the Al-Sanoubar area, polyethylene piping with a diameter of 75 mm and length of 110 metres was installed as part of network development and rehabilitation efforts to improve water transport efficiency.

These works are part of the Directorate’s ongoing programme to enhance the readiness of water networks and facilities, and to address faults as quickly as possible.
