The Directorate of Water Resources in Latakia continues its field follow-up of the irrigation networks, alongside carrying out maintenance and repair work, to ensure the continuous delivery of water to the farmlands and to serve the farmers.
High irrigation rates were recorded in many areas, reaching 100% in Balloran, Al-Harajiya, Zaghrin, Zaghrin–Al-Sarsakiya, Al-Shabtaliya–Ain Al-Bayda, Al-Daroukiyat, Al-Aqaba–Ain Al-Bayda, Haret Beit Zidan, and Ain Alwan, while other networks saw rates between 85% and 95%, and in some networks of the Fourth Irrigation Group – Tarjano, it reached 90%.
At the same time, the Directorate’s teams continue to address malfunctions in Al-Qabrasiya, Al-Yagnsa, Al-Rama, Al-Mshirefa, Al-Masalla, Al-Bahloulia, and Shir Al-Kharab, with work including digging, repairing, removing blockages, cleaning up silt, and filling malfunction spots.
These efforts highlight the Directorate’s ongoing field presence and its commitment to keeping irrigation networks ready, improving water access, supporting the agricultural season, and serving farmers.
