The Directorate of Water Resources in Daraa continues to carry out urgent and necessary maintenance, most of which is caused by farmers' encroachments on the irrigation networks.
The directorate carried out emergency and urgent maintenance on one of the pipelines near residential homes in the town of Jaleen due to water leakage from one of the irrigation lines. The directorate worked to perform immediate maintenance on the cistern, provided a GRP-type cistern, acted immediately, stopped the water leaks in the network, and prevented some lands and homes in the area from being flooded. This comes in the context of continuing to secure water for the cultivated lands and reducing water wastage across all irrigation networks.
It is worth mentioning that the western Tafas irrigation network is supplied by the Western Tafas Dam and irrigates an area of 390 hectares with various types of trees and vegetables.
