Tartous Water Resources is looking into the current work reality and maintenance and rehabilitation priorities before winter.
The Director of Water Resources in Tartous, Engineer Mohamed Mohrez, discussed during a meeting held at the Directorate's Maintenance Division the current state of work and the needs for implementing the drainage plan, as well as the priorities for maintaining and rehabilitating government irrigation networks. The meeting was attended by the Director of Integrated Administration, the Head of the Maintenance Division, and the Heads of Investment Divisions.
The meeting also talked about getting the operational equipment ready and boosting its technical efficiency, which would help speed up the drainage work in canals and waterways and complete it within the set deadlines, in preparation for the winter season. They also discussed the priorities for maintaining and rehabilitating irrigation networks, and improving coordination between the Directorate’s divisions and fieldwork monitoring, which would help enhance network efficiency and implement the irrigation plan in the next phase.
