Tartous Water Resources continues to carry out its proactive plan in preparation for the winter season
The Water Resources Directorate continues to carry out its proactive plan and early preparations for the winter season, aiming to improve the capacity of the canals and reduce the risks of water bottlenecks and possible floods during heavy rainfall.
The ongoing work includes dredging the main fifth and sixth canals in the Mantaar area, starting from Hamidiya Road towards the sea. Directorate machinery and teams are working on removing blockages, reeds, and aquatic plants from the canals to help improve water flow.
At the same time, the road on both sides of the canals is being cleared to ensure smooth movement and quick response in case of any emergencies during the winter.
