Supply of irrigation equipment for the rehabilitation of a project serving 3,000 hectares in the Northern Rouj Plain, Idlib Governorate.
As part of the rehabilitation of a 3,000-hectare irrigation project in the Northern Rouj Plain, the Idlib Directorate of Water Resources—in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)—has procured irrigation pipes of various diameters and types, along with the necessary fittings, to complete the project’s rehabilitation and infrastructure development requirements.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to rehabilitate irrigation networks and improve their efficiency, facilitating the delivery of irrigation water to targeted agricultural lands, mitigating distribution issues, and maximizing the utilization of available water resources.
The completion of these rehabilitation works is expected to improve agricultural conditions in the Northern Rouj Plain and assist farmers in meeting their crops' irrigation needs, thereby supporting the stability and sustainability of agricultural production.
The General Authority for Water Resources extends its gratitude to the technical staff involved and to its partners at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for their efforts in supporting the project’s rehabilitation, enhancing the efficiency of water infrastructure, and serving the agricultural sector.
