Starting the site preparation work for the solar power system at the first Al-Rouj South station

The Directorate of Water Resources in Idlib Governorate, in cooperation with the Qatari Red Crescent, has started preparing the site for the solar power system at the first Al-Rouj South Station, with a capacity of half a megawatt (500 kilowatts), as part of the station’s rehabilitation and boosting its operational readiness.

The ongoing work includes leveling the site, compacting the soil, and preparing it according to the technical requirements needed to install the solar energy system, helping to set up the necessary infrastructure for its operation.

These efforts are part of joint initiatives aimed at supporting the rehabilitation of irrigation stations, improving their operational efficiency, and ensuring continuous irrigation water supply to agricultural lands in the area, which supports the agricultural sector and helps improve water service conditions.
