Seizure of unlicensed excavators to protect groundwater
As part of efforts to preserve groundwater in Hama Governorate, and in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the Salma area, Al-Ghab area, and northern Hama countryside, ten unlicensed excavators were recently confiscated.
Fines were issued against the violators, and they were referred to the competent judiciary, with the confiscated excavators being deposited in official garages.
The water regulations continue their field patrols to curb random groundwater drilling, in a step aimed at protecting water resources and ensuring their sustainability.
