The Water Resources Directorate in Latakia announced the restart of pumping station PS-8-1 in Burj Islam and the return of normal water supply, following the completion of comprehensive maintenance work aimed at improving operational efficiency and the station's technical readiness.

The maintenance included fixing technical faults and refurbishing key operational components, which helped enhance the station's performance and ensure stable pumping and continuous water supply to agricultural areas during the irrigation season.
