Repairing the generator set at the Nabaa Al-Fawar pumping station to ensure the continuous irrigation of 500 hectares

The staff of the Directorate of Water Resources in Tartous have restored the generation unit at the Nab’ al-Fuwar pumping station and the aid unit in the Al-Haysha area to operational readiness, after carrying out repair and maintenance work on the unit with a capacity of 450 kVA. This ensures the station continues to operate and provides irrigation water for about 500 hectares of farmland in the villages of Al-Qubaybah, Al-Ziyadah, and Al-Mintar, even during power outages and rationing.

The repair work included maintaining the magnetic circuit, winding the stator coils, replacing the rear bearing, repairing the rotor core, in addition to installing a 72-card with a capacity of one megawatt, restoring the generation unit to readiness and enhancing the reliability of the station’s operation.

These works are part of the ongoing maintenance plan for the directorate’s irrigation facilities, aimed at keeping the pumping stations ready, ensuring continuous delivery of irrigation water to the farmland beneficiaries, and reducing the impact of power outages on irrigation operations.
