Rehabilitation of the Al-Fawar spring channel, two culverts, and a 65-meter winter drainage in Hama
The Directorate of Water Resources in Hama has started dredging and cleaning work at the inlet and outlet of two culverts on the Al-Fawar spring stream, along with dredging a 65-meter-long winter canal that flows into the same stream, as part of its ongoing plan to maintain the networks and waterways in the governorate.
The aim of these works is to remove soil, sediments, and obstacles that hinder water flow, restoring the full drainage efficiency of the culverts and canal, and reducing the risks of water buildup and blockage, especially during heavy rain periods.
The directorate confirmed that these works are part of preventive measures to get the waterways ready to safely receive and discharge water, helping to protect nearby lands and areas and enhance public safety.
