Ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation work on the irrigation and drainage networks in Raqqa
The staff of the Water Resources Directorate in Raqqa continue maintenance, rehabilitation, and dredging work in various sectors, aiming to improve the efficiency of irrigation and drainage networks and ensure smooth water flow.
Key completed works:
Sector One: Maintenance of GM2 and US3 canals, dredging of US1 Hadar, transferring flow on US11, and dredging 300 m of Ansar Drain and 1200 m of the Khazanat canals.
Sector Two: Fixing cavities in the High Lift Canal, dredging 300 m of MDE27 Drain, and installing measurement gates on several weirs and the ME22 junction.
Sector Three: No works.
Sector Four: Dredging drains and canals totaling 3,900 m in Al-Bleikh, Volcano, and Al-Muhammadiya, and monitoring the gates of the Al-Hamrat Canal.
The directorate continues its fieldwork according to priorities, enhancing the efficiency of the irrigation and drainage system and serving the agricultural sector.
