Ongoing maintenance and dredging work in the third sector in Deir ez-Zor
Maintenance workshops at the Deir ez-Zor Directorate of Water Resources are continuing their fieldwork in Sector Three – Part A. The teams have dredged and cleaned a number of canals leading to the pumping station, removing silt and accumulated weeds to improve water flow and ensure it reaches the agricultural lands efficiently.
These activities are part of the directorate’s ongoing plan to keep irrigation networks ready, enhance water transport efficiency, and reduce waste and leakage, helping to secure irrigation water for farmland and support agricultural operations.
