Monitoring the state of water resources and water quality at a number of channels and irrigation stations
The Directorate of Water Resources in Daraa continues its field and laboratory work to monitor the state of water resources and strengthen the monitoring system to track water quality across various water sites and locations.
In this context, the Water Resources Information Center carried out data collection activities from monitoring points along several axes, including the Municipal Stadium well, the Sports City, as well as the wells in Al-Lajat and Al-Masmiyah. This was done to update data and track water indicators in the Yarmouk Basin, which is experiencing low levels in springs and wells, and to document this information in the database approved by the General Authority for Water Resources.
The Water Quality Monitoring Division in the Integrated Management Department carried out a field visit to the Kahil Pumping Station _Al-Thawra and the Kahil Irrigation Station _Al-Jiza, during which water samples were taken from these stations.
The division continues its work in the chemical lab by conducting analyses and laboratory tests on the samples collected from different sites, which helps in assessing the quality of water resources and enhancing follow-up and monitoring procedures.
These activities are part of the ongoing effort to monitor the state of water resources in the governorate and improve the efficiency of the monitoring system, supporting the sustainable management of water resources and ensuring their safety.
