Mashqeita Dam and its role in water resource management

Mishqita Dam is one of the most important water facilities in Latakia Governorate and plays a central role in regulating and managing water resources, providing them according to operational, irrigation, and drinking water needs.  
 
The dam team’s work includes continuous monitoring and supervision of the dam's structures, tracking water levels and storage, performing hydrological measurements, and documenting readings. It also involves managing and directing water flows towards the riverbed, MC1 canal, irrigation networks in Ain Al-Bayda, the Ain Al-Bayda tunnel that feeds the treatment and drinking water plant, as well as the Ain Al-Bayda tunnel dedicated to irrigation purposes.  
 
These tasks are part of an integrated system for operating the Mishqita Dam and managing water flows according to needs, ensuring efficient use of water, continuous supply for irrigation and drinking, and maintaining stable operation of the system.
